Duration

5 weeks

A concept website redesign for Johannesdal Village, an existing residential development currently being built in the Cape Winelands.

The aim was to reimagine how the development could be presented digitally — moving beyond property specifications and architectural plans to create an experience that sells the lifestyle, setting and feeling of living there.

Challenge

The existing digital experience contains a large amount of information, while much of the available imagery relies on architectural renders that make it difficult to imagine the development as a lived-in place.

The challenge was to strip away unnecessary information, simplify the buyer journey and create a stronger emotional connection to the development — without losing the practical information a serious buyer needs

Solution

I created a more focused, story-led experience that takes potential buyers from place, to lifestyle, to property, to investment.

Lifestyle renders were created to bring the development to life — showing families at home, cooking, hiking and enjoying the surrounding landscape — replacing the colder feel of traditional Archicad imagery with a more aspirational vision of everyday life at Johannesdal.

Information was deliberately simplified and structured around the buyer journey, with clear calls to action directing interested visitors towards pricing and contact. This creates a natural distinction between those simply browsing and serious prospective buyers ready to take the next step.
